Hongrin Lake
The ingenuity of man to stem the tide of water, this great force of nature. Hongrin Dam embraces the confluence of 9 different watercourses.
Located between Col des Mosses and La Lécherette the Hongrin Dam is an incredible feat of engineering. Thanks to its double arches of 95m and 123 m, the reservoir can hold a maximum 52 million cubic metres of water at a depth of 105m !
Hongrin Dam is an ideal destination for a family hike. After a strenuous hike traversing mountain pastures you’ll reach the ideal picnic spot.
For fishermen, the idyllic setting allows you to naturally recharge your batteries whilst teasing a fish. Apart from the gentle sound of cow bells in the background, nothing breaches this perfect calm.
Practical informations
ATTENTION:
- All water sports are prohibited on Lac de l'Hongrin. Pumping and turbining can cause rapid changes in the water level.
