Lake Lioson

From 10 Jun To 25 Oct 2026

Just over an hour's walk from the Col des Mosses, the shores of Lac Lioson are the ideal spot for a picnic break.

Lake Lioson deserves its nickname of ‘the pearl of the Alpine lakes’. The colour of its emerald waters will inspire you to dream and relax. High above Les Mosses, in an unspoilt natural setting, the shores of the lake are the ideal place for a picnic break, a swim or a pedalo ride.

How about a fish supper? Lake Lioson is regularly restocked for the pleasure of anglers. You can catch Arctic char and rainbow trout.

The restaurant on Lac Lioson, on the lakeside facing Pic Chaussy, serves cheese dishes and specialities on the slate.

The reward for children after a good climb is a visit to the animal park next to the restaurant. Rabbits, goats, chickens, ponies and piglets are just some of the animals that will delight young and old alike.
