Lake Yaka

If you want to relax in the great outdoors, Lake Yaka presents the perfect destination for an accessible hike which also boasts an incredible view.

In the heights above Leysin at an altitude of 2048m, Lake Yaka‘s defining attribute is its stunning view. A neverending mountain chain unfolds before your very eyes transporting you from the Diablerets Glacier to the Dents du Midi before leading your gaze down to Lake Léman.

Lake Yaka can be easily reached by cablecar. For the more athletic, it can also be reached on foot using the hiking paths. A special trail indicating the benefits of renewable energy sources borders the lake, a great example being the water jet powered by an adjacent wind turbine.

For refreshments, the area surrounding Lake Yaka is perfect for picnics with a view. Why not round off the trip with a visit to the nearby Kuklos revolving restaurant’s glorious terrace for coffee and dessert ?
