Museum of the Hand Unil-CHUV

The Museum of the hand, in Lausanne, presents interactive thematic exhibitions.

Since it opened in 1997, the Museum of the hand Unil-CHUV has been promoting scientific and medical culture to the general public. It offers themed, interactive exhibitions that make a dynamic and inventive contribution to the understanding of science and medicine. The themes chosen are always at the crossroads of science, medicine, biotechnology, history, the arts and society. The exhibitions are accompanied by a sustained programme of events, meetings and debates aimed at the general public, young people and schools.

The Museum of the hand Hand Museum works in partnership with the Centre hospitalier universitaire vaudois in Lausanne (CHUV) and the University of Lausanne (Unil). Many other institutions support the museum, depending on the exhibition chosen themes.

Practical informations

Closed on Mondays.
Public holidays: open from 11am to 6pm.
Free entry on the first Saturday of the month.
Closed on 24, 25 December and 1 January.
