The Grangettes Nature Reserve
Located at the east end of Lake Geneva, the Grangettes is an area of unspoilt nature, where hundreds of birds frolic cheerfully.
At the foot of the Monts-d'Arvel and Le Grammont, near Villeneuve and Noville, Les Grangettes Nature Reserve is the last protected area on the shores of Lake Geneva. A paradise for nature lovers, it’s renowned for its unspoilt beauty.
Crouching behind bushes or reeds, visitors can admire a rich aquatic world. Here, if you’re patient, you can see egrets, kingfishers, beavers or a few migratory birds finding refuge in this unique habitat in Europe.
Starting from Villeneuve, there are three marked trails through this huge reserve, including a 30 minute walk, a one and a half hour walk or 4 a hour walk for the more energetic.
You can consult the reserve's activities program and contact Ms. Plancherel to plan guided tours for groups and school classes on 021 566 82 65.
