The Témeley
From 22 Dec 2025 To 31 Oct 2026At the midway point between Leysin and Berneuse the Témeley refreshment bar is also, in the Summer, an authentic artisanal cheesemaking farm.
Temeley is more than just a café. Primarily it’s an alpine cheese dairy which is in full operation throughout the summer season. Every morning Alain Cornamusaz uses the fresh milk from his cows to make Temeley cheese. Following time-honoured traditions he heats the milk in a huge cauldron over a wood fire. In winter the Témeley welcomes hikers for a well-deserved break.
For passing visitors, the Cornamusaz family offers a hearty mountain breakfast and at lunchtime, a « Cowboy’s Platter ». For picnics, you can also fill up your backpack with local produce from the farm.
