Exhibition of Guerino Paltenghi's works

Mrs Paltenghi, a gallery owner in Château-d'Œx, exhibits a selection of paintings by her husband Guerino Paltenghi, a Swiss painter of Ticino origin who has lived in the Pays-d'Enhaut for half a century.
Over the years, Guerino Paltenghi has developed his own technique. Through collages of paper on canvas, he gives his paintings a particular texture, which catches the light and softens the colour. The tones he likes suggest the mild climate of his native Ticino: brown, yellow and ochre blend together serenely. Landscapes or still lifes; his work celebrates tranquility and natural beauty.
