Cabane des Diablerets CAS
An authentic mountain experience in the heart of the mountains
Perched at the foot of the Oldenhorn, the Cabane des Diablerets overlooks the valley and offers its visitors a superb panorama of the Vaud and Bernese Alps.
Inventive cuisine, sourdough bread and homemade cakes will delight your taste buds after a day of sport or contemplation in the Diablerets massif. The 45-seat indoor restaurant and 50-seat sunny terrace welcome you at an altitude of 2,486 metres, complemented by a 32-bed dormitory.
In summer and winter alike, there are many varied activities in the area: hiking, the Rocher Jaune via ferrata, skiing... It is directly connected to the Glacier 3000 ski facilities and ski area, making it both a stopover and a destination in your activity programme. It is also the starting point for climbing the highest peak in the Vaud Alps: the Diablerets summit, which rises to an altitude of 3,210 metres.
At the foot of the slopes, this easily accessible hut is particularly suitable for school trips, technical club courses, company and club trips, and ski training courses.
The Diablerets hut is owned by the Jaman section of the Swiss Alpine Club.

Closing days
- Please check the closing days on the website before setting out on any trip: www.cabane-diablerets.ch
- The hut may be closed during normal opening periods due to weather conditions.
Opening times
- From mid-June to September for the summer season.
- From 31st December to 30th April for the winter season.
- The hut is open depending on the cable cars and the opening of the ski area in winter.
- All these opening times are subject to weather conditions and the Glacier 3000 ski lifts.
Caretaker
- The hut has 32 beds and 2 dining rooms. Reservations are required for overnight stays.
- Please note that the caretakers have pets (a dog and a cat).
- The hut is only open when the caretaker is present. There is no emergency room or winter room.
- The refuge can be opened outside of opening periods on request.
