Lake Frience
Nestled on the heights of Gryon, the Lac de Frience is an ideal swimming area to cool off on sunny days!
In the middle of the green mountain pastures, the lake of Frience is an artificial lake which is perfectly integrated into its environment.
You will find three pools designed to satisfy the youngest and the oldest:
- A paddling pool up to 40 cm deep located in the small pool next to the Refuge de Frience
- An area for non-swimmers with a maximum depth of 90 cm located in the small pool next to Solalex
- A large pool up to 2.50 metres deep, ideal for swimming
A water regeneration area, recognisable by its aquatic plants (not accessible for swimming) completes the facilities.
Practical informations
Useful information
- Swimming in the lake is reserved for people who know how to swim.
- Children must be supervised by adults.
- Picnic table and barbecue available
- Dogs (even if tied up) are not allowed.
- The prohibited area (lake, grills, refreshment area, and users' lawn) is fenced off.
Restaurant
- The Frience refreshment bar is open in summer when the weather is good and offers a variety of drinks, ice creams and snacks.
- The Refuge de Frience offers local and refined cuisine. It is located right next to the lake and has a terrace with a superb view.
