You can't miss this establishment in the Rue Neuve, as the imposing building is shaped like a point.

This establishment has been awarded the “ Café historique de Lausanne ” label established by the city of Lausanne in 2021. The trapezoidal shape of the plot gave its name to the café, Le Pointu (“The Pointed”), previously Le Lavaux. Its exterior architecture stands out in the area of the Rue Neuve. Behind the richly decorated façades that bear witness to the town centre’s development at the end of the 19th century, the recently rehabilitated establishment remains a lively meeting place on market days.
