Life is more beautiful in Montreux Riviera. Its splendour, pleasant climate and famous guests have conferred the title of Swiss Riviera to the region of Montreux-Vevey. Indeed, the region has got it all!
Nearby peaks, vineyards listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, great wines to be tasted at local winemakers, landscaped beaches, modern cities, and picturesque villages… No wonder the Montreux region is the cradle of Swiss tourism. However, it was already a popular destination in the Middle Ages, as testified by its remarkable Château de Chillon.
Today, Montreux Riviera continues to write its history by innovating constantly, for example in the museums Chaplin’s World and the Alimentarium. Culture buffs turn into festivalgoers during the famous Montreux Jazz Festival in July. This one-of-a-kind region also attracts cyclists, hikers and skiers on its vineyard roads and on the routes and trails of Rochers-de-Naye and Pléiades.
