The music box capital of Sainte-Croix has another coveted bit of know-how: the exclusive recipe for Amandine. This delicious tart made of honey, sugar, cream and almonds on a sweet pastry base was invented by the artisan dessert-maker from “La Gourmandine”. The same recipe is still used today by the heirs of this mouth-watering shop, who do admit to a secret little trick.
