Come and discover the world of rock climbing in Les Diablerets during an introductory day with the Bureau des Guides des Alpes Vaudoises.
The introductory climbing day at the Dalles du Dar, near the Col du Pillon, begins at 9:00 with a welcome by the group, an introduction to the guide and a check of equipment.At 9.30am, the group heads to the climbing site, which is reached by a short approach walk.
At 10:00 a.m., an introduction to the basics of climbing is given, including a presentation of the equipment, safety instructions and belay techniques.
Participants then take their first steps on the rock, with practical exercises in roping up, belaying a partner and top-roping on routes suitable for beginners.
After a convivial lunch break at the foot of the routes, the afternoon is devoted to exploring new routes, improving climbing and belaying techniques, and a workshop on abseiling techniques.
The day concludes with a return to the starting point and a debriefing, during which participants share their experiences and give advice on how to continue climbing.

Information
- Beginner to intermediate level
- Age: over 18s or minors aged 16 and over accompanied by a close relative
- Number of participants: 4 to 8
- Equipment to bring: climbing shoes, climbing harness, climbing helmet, semi-automatic belay system (smart, grigri...), self-belaying lanyard, min. 20L rucksack, good trekking or trail shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, sun cream and cap, sunglasses, picnic and min. 1L bottle of water.
- Equipment hire for CHF 25: helmet, harness, belay system, climbing shoes.
- Climbing ropes are provided.

- Participants must have health and accident insurance. Cancellation insurance is also recommended. The Bureau des Guides des Alpes Vaudoises declines all responsibility.
